Plant Hardiness Zone Map

This Hardiness Zone map shows  the different climate zones for the United States. Most plants can be grown in a wide range of zones. However, some plants, such as perennials, biennials, and bulbs, are hardy only in certain zones. Annuals (plants that grow in any zone as long as they are given the proper amounts of water and sunlight) can grow in any zone.

This map is adapted from the latest United States Department of Agriculture zone map. each zone represents the average minimum temperature in the area it covers, the first frost will arrive slightly earlier in the lighter part of a zone. Use this map as a guide for selecting plants suitable for your garden.
